Popular director and screenwriter Ryan Murphy has listed his custom Laguna Beach estate for $18.75 million.
He originally purchased the estate, which sits on a private acre of land overlooking the Pacific Ocean, $4.475 million in 2004, and promptly began his series of renovations. The modern, 6,500-square-foot home which is now on the market is marked by its floods of natural light, thanks to walls of retractable glass and skylights.
The Laguna Beach estate is fitted with accents of natural woods, luxury stone, and original Mid-Century rosewood cabinetry. It contains 4 bedrooms, and one of its best features is the huge central great room that moves to an open-concept kitchen.
The estate grounds include gorgeous lawns and gardens, and a huge pool pavilion, which has been said to look more like a contemporary art installation than a swimming pool, and is accented by panoramic views of the water, an outdoor kitchen, and a detached guesthouse.
